IKMI Instructor Professional Profile Description.

The Ikmi Krav Maga Instructor is a practical and theoretical trainer with skills in the exposition and illustration of techniques appropriate to the trainees' level of learning. The purpose of the course is to acquire the skills essential for the performance of the tasks entrusted to the Krav Maga Instructor, as well as to increase the professional skills necessary for the role of trainer that those involved will go on to hold within Ikmi.

The role of trainer is to be considered particularly delicate given the importance that assumes, from an ethical and deontological point of view, the transmission of a correct message of direction on the legitimate use of techniques and equally adequate theoretical information towards the trainees, in order to enable them to act in conditions of absolute safety and legality.

The aforementioned conditions of safety, require a calibrated technical and psychophysical preparation, and to this end, within the scope of the content, suitable spaces have also been reserved for the subject of innovations related to the communication techniques that the instructor must possess as a trainer and stress management techniques.

The Teachers of Ikmi have as their task to make the trainees reach complete technical maturity and, we also consider important their continuous updating, which increasingly increases the quality of their service. To this end, specialized courses are offered, which, spread over the sports season complete the training of our Instructors over the long term. These deal more specifically and in more detail with the topics covered, such as for example, white-weapon assault defense techniques, baton techniques, gun threat disarming techniques, specific female anti-aggression techniques, close quarters intervention techniques, third party protection techniques, etc.

We believe that technical teachers must know how to best manage their courses through in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. Therefore, our goal is to create all-round trained technical teachers. For years, we have been promoting specific courses aimed at all Ikmi members in order to ensure their continuous technical training and improve their knowledge. A good teacher is one who knows how to put himself in question, who is not satisfied with what he knows, who has the desire to go and seek new knowledge, both technical and cultural that helps him in his task.
