Professional Training
Police
IKMI Krav Maga Police is a defense system derived from Krav Maga and adapted to the specific needs of Law Enforcement personnel, who must operate in a manner that is:
- fast;
- effective;
- low profile (“to keep a low profile”)
through the application of techniques that must be usable by the operator while wearing any type of clothing (uniform and/or camouflage) and/or carrying standard-issue equipment.
The course is structured into independent modules and covers both theoretical and practical topics (fundamental principles of self-defense and the lawful use of weapons, study and application of control, restraint, search, arrest, transport techniques, etc.).
The course is reserved for members of Law Enforcement Agencies, Armed Forces personnel and IKMI Instructors
In Israel, Krav Maga has been applied not only in military and civilian contexts but also in the Police sector (Law Enforcement), through techniques primarily aimed at restraining an individual, maintaining control and transporting them safely.
In our case, these techniques will be applied with the aim of containing an individual or potential aggressor, within a context characterized by:
- specific rules defined by the Italian legal system;
- different operational scenarios;
- different equipment and/or clothing,
This requires particular preparation and attention from those called upon to operate, who must seek to minimize physical harm to the individual as much as possible.
For this reason, control of the technique and precision in its execution, combined with the duties of security operators as established by the legal system, form the foundations of I.K.M.I. Krav Maga Police.
The duties of Law Enforcement personnel The functions of the Judicial Police (Art. 55 of the Italian Code of Criminal Procedure)
The function of the Judicial Police is repressive rather than preventive in nature and purpose, since it intervenes when a violation of criminal law has already occurred and the activities of the security police (or preventive or administrative police) were unable to prevent it.
The activity of the Judicial Police is therefore directed toward the past, in the sense that it deals with crimes that have already been committed, with the aim of bringing those responsible to justice, whereas the activity of the security police is directed toward the future, dealing with crimes that might be committed, with the aim of preventing them.
From the above, it follows that the Judicial Police can always be distinguished, from a functional point of view, from the security police, even where the two functions are combined organizationally and carried out by the same police forces or even by the same personnel.
The functions of Public Security (T.U.L.P.S.)
Public security therefore concerns both police activities aimed at ensuring “security” through compliance with the law and activities aimed at “preventing” the community from suffering harm caused by unforeseen or accidental events, accidents and natural disasters, climatic events or events of any other kind, or in any case preventing an increase in damage through the organization of preventive and rescue measures.
Close Protection
Introduction
We would like to clarify once and for all the information concerning the profession commonly referred to as “Bodyguard”, a professional role that does not exist under our legal system. According to the Consolidated Public Security Act of 1931, which deals, among other matters, with personal safety and public order, only law enforcement agencies may provide personal protection. The profession of Bodyguard (armed service for the protection of a person) is not subject to authorization. Apart from cases of self-protection provided for by law (Articles 52 and 54 of the Italian Criminal Code), only the Public Security Authority and police forces may provide protection to individuals. Private individuals carrying out such activities would be subject to sanctions, at the very least pursuant to Art. 347 of the Italian Criminal Code for the unlawful exercise of public functions. With this introduction, IKMI intends to definitively clarify the role of the “Body Guard” in accordance with Italian law.
Close Protection
This course is aimed at those who wish to acquire theoretical and technical skills in the field of Third-Party Defense. IKMI provides participants with the expertise and experience of its instructors, enabling them to enter the Protection sector as highly qualified professionals. Our training programs provide reliable and professional preparation in anticipation of specific legislation in this field, or for those intending to carry out this activity outside our national borders, where the professional role of the Bodyguard is officially recognized.
The training program offered by IKMI is designed to provide all the knowledge required to deal with physical security issues: attacks, threats, etc.
In order to protect someone effectively, you must first safeguard your own personal safety. This is why the first part of our course program includes a section of Krav Maga applied to self-defense.
Our courses cover numerous situations and environments in which an Operator may be required to intervene: escorting individuals in open areas, inside buildings, the VIP’s entry into and exit from a vehicle under normal conditions and during an emergency situation…
An extensive theoretical section further develops the essential knowledge required by a trained and professional Operator: programming and planning an escort mission, collecting and analyzing client information, Bodyguard ethics and conduct…
